JFA (Japan football association) has announced Takeshi Okada as a new national manager on 7th Dec to replace the former coach, Ivica Osim who was struck down at home and has been in the hospital since 16th November.

“I often hear that life is not understandable. I did’t think that I become a manager last week. When I got this offer, I thought I cannot undertake to manage the team as I considered it more and more but I have gradually got a strong feeling that I have to do something and I have to challenge. I will do my best for Japan run in to the world cup”.
The New Manager, Takeshi Okada, was the former coach of Yokohama F. Marinos and also lead Japan national team when they played in the world cup in 1998 in France.
